About the photographer 摄影师简介:
This photo exhibition showcases the photography works of Venerable Ajahn Cagino on the way of life of Buddhist monks and practitioners. Venerable Ajahn Cagino was a Malaysian graduate of Liberal Arts and a photographer by profession before he was ordained.
I wandered around looking for places to practice meditation.
I didn’t realise that the right place is already here, in my heart.
All the meditation is inside me.
Birth, old age, sickness and death are right here within me.
I travelled all over looking for the right place to meditate,
and stopped only when i was about to drop dead from exhaustion.
Only then did i find what i ws looking for: inside of me.
Featuring monks and laity in meditation, Our Real Home: A photo exhibition tells a story of how the Buddhist faith brings about a home for thedevoted – the inner peace within one’s heart. Discover the steadfast faith that many called home where it remains unaffected by the ravages of time, weakening physical bodies, emotional vulnerabilities, and suffering.
我们舒适的居所—这个身体，和一切我们的所爱，是否能够让我们免除于衰老、疾病与别离的苦难？我们从四面八方寻找平静、从事业
拼搏里寻找安稳、从情爱纠缠中寻找幸福。不断向外追寻，跌跌撞撞、费尽心思。踏破铁鞋，独坐于寂静中，才骤然发现我们真正的归
处，原来一直就在此刻，就在每一个当下。
此摄影展所展示的照片，是禅修中的比丘和居士们，休憩于他们真正的家— 内心的平静中。
